Kirkfield United are based in Lanark and were formed in 1969. The club operates teams through various age levels up to under-17 and incorporates a soccer school for children aged 6-7.
The 2002 team is for children born on or after 1 January 2002. We play matches on Saturday mornings in the West Lothian Soccer Sevens League. Many of our players progressed from the Kirkfield United soccer school to form an impressive seven-a-side teams known as Kirkfield United Hearts and Kirkfield United Diamonds. Some have been with the club since the age of five training within the soccer school .
Our current squad includes four boys born in 2003 who have handled themselves impeccably against players a year older. The move into seven-a-side football has been virtually seamless, a real credit to the boys who have performed magnificently since the season began
Our home games take place at Lanark Racecourse pitch complex, an excellent venue containing three well preened grass parks which are all conducive to attractive passing football.
Training sessions are held on Thursday nights from 6pm to 7pm at Lanark Grammar School sports hall.
The thrills and spills of the Premier League are back and, to celebrate, we are giving away three volumes of Premier League Classic Matches on DVD!
